The investigation into abuse of authority in the Krasnoyarsk Territory has been completed.

The investigation of the criminal case against the former chief physician of the hospital, who was accused of abuse of office, has ended in the Yemelyanovsky district. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Main Investigative Directorate (GSO) of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia on Tuesday, August 5.

A case was initiated against the chief physician under paragraph "e" of Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of official authority committed out of another personal interest).

"The investigation revealed that in March 2023, a municipal contract was signed between the hospital and the construction company to carry out major repairs to the outpatient clinic as part of the implementation of the regional program of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The cost of the contract was more than 12 million rubles," the message says.

The investigators found that the repairs had not been completed, and the work performed turned out to be of poor quality. As a result, the money that was supposed to be used for repairs turned out to be appropriated by the defendants.

"According to the conclusion of the construction and technical expertise, the cost of the unfinished work amounted to about 4 million rubles," the department noted.

Currently, the criminal case has been redirected to the prosecutor's office, from where it will soon go to court.

In addition, a criminal case has also been initiated against the director of the contractor. He was charged with fraud, and the case is pending.

Earlier, on August 4, the prosecutor asked for Vyacheslav Akhmedov, the former director of Patriot Park, to be found guilty of especially large-scale fraud and forgery and sentenced to six years in a general regime penal colony.
