A man was killed in a fire in an apartment building on Hvorostukhina Street in the city of Tula. This was announced on August 5 by the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Tula region in its Telegram channel.
"The fire occurred in an apartment on the fourth floor on Khvorostukhina Street in Tula. Five minutes later, the first fire and rescue units arrived at the scene. The fire was extinguished on 8 square meters," the message says.
According to the agency, 18 people were evacuated, including six children. However, one man could not be saved.
16 people and six units of special equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
Earlier, on August 1, a fire broke out in the Naberezhnye Chelny cottage village in the city of Dolgoprudny. The fire area was 225 square meters. m. No information about the victims was received. 27 firefighters and five pieces of equipment were fighting the fire.
