Russian paratroopers destroyed the personnel and ammunition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Sumy region

Crews of BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) of the Tula Guards Airborne Forces (Airborne Forces) rocket division from the Northern Group of Forces destroyed personnel and an ammunition depot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in a wooded area in the Sumy region. This was announced on August 5 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

It is specified that the reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) formed an area target with the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Having received the coordinates of the target, the calculations of the BM2-21 Grad MLRS of the paratroopers quickly moved to a given point and with a salvo of a package of rocket missiles covered the specified square, destroying the personnel and the command and observation post of the battalion of Ukrainian servicemen, disrupting the control of the AFU units. In addition, a field ammunition depot was destroyed in the specified square. The defeat of the targets was recorded by the cameras.

"Our shooting accuracy is based on the well—honed and well-coordinated work of our personnel, as well as accuracy at work, and this is all combined with the minimum amount of time we need to deploy to a firing position and strike," said the commander of the jet platoon with the call sign Gauss.

After completing the combat mission, the crews quickly changed positions.

Earlier, on August 4, it was reported that the crew of the Su-34 multifunctional supersonic fighter-bomber of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) struck at the temporary deployment point of the AFU unit in the area of responsibility of the Center group of forces. The ministry clarified that the strike was carried out at night at the specified coordinates. In this operation, aerial bombs with a universal planning and correction module (UMPC) were used.
