In the Telegram messenger, a verification tag was added to a person's personal profile for the first time. Pavel Durov, the founder of the platform, became the first user with such confirmation, the Durov Code portal reported on August 4.

"Now Pavel Durov's account has a tick from Telegram. It is accompanied by a tag under the profile with the caption "This account has been confirmed by Telegram representatives," the publication says.
