On August 4, Irina Volk, the official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry, denied information about limiting the service life of passenger cars to 30 years.

"Today, materials were posted in the media space in which the idea of a possible limitation of the service life of passenger cars by 30 years was discussed. I hasten to reassure motorists of our country, the Russian Interior Ministry did not come up with this initiative," she said in her Telegram channel.

It is noted that the agency opposes such restrictions. Volk stressed that all official information of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is published on the official resources of the Ministry.

Earlier, on July 29, the Interior Ministry denied the ban on right-hand drive cars in Russia. According to Irina Volk, according to the draft Strategy for Improving Road Safety in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030 and for the future up to 2036, it is planned to focus on educational work with drivers of right-hand drive vehicles.
