An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 was registered off the coast of Kamchatka. This was reported on August 4 in the Telegram channel of the Kamchatka branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS).
The seismic event occurred at 17:49 UTC (20:49 Moscow time). The epicenter was located 158 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The source was located at a depth of 48.6 km.
