The second sign of domestic violence is the aggressor's desire to isolate the victim from others. At the same time, Kuznetsova noted that the restriction of communication with friends and relatives occurs under the guise of caring. Over time, this leads to outbursts of jealousy and suspicion, ending in constant monitoring, which is another sign that characterizes the behavior of the abuser.

The specialist added that domestic violence is also indicated by the devaluation and humiliation of women. This can be expressed in dissatisfaction with her appearance and affects the victim's self-esteem.

The psychologist warned that domestic violence affects children, even if the victim is the mother. According to the psychologist, the trauma of the witness may be stronger than the victim's feelings. In adulthood, children from families with domestic violence themselves become either victims of abuse or aggressors.
