Astronomer, popularizer of astronomy and cosmonautics Alexander Kiselyov warned that the strongest magnetic storm is coming to Earth.

In conversation with aif.ru On Monday, August 4, an expert named solar flares as the cause of the geomagnetic disturbance.

According to him, 15 solar flares were recorded in early August. In the next two to three days, there remains a high probability of outbreaks of level M (strong) and X (very strong). Magnetic storms are expected on August 7-8 and 19-20, and the most powerful geomagnetic disturbance of the month is forecast for the 25th.

The specialist also warned that such phenomena can negatively affect the well—being of weather-dependent people - headaches, migraines and dizziness may occur, writes RT. He noted that people with nervous system disorders may experience irritability, anxiety, insomnia, apathy, and general drowsiness.

Earlier on August 4, Honorary Academician of the Russian Academy of Cosmonautics Oleg Mukhin, in an interview with NSN, pointed out the importance of protection from solar flares. According to him, many technologies, including communications and navigation, depend on the state of the magnetic field. The expert added that an increase in the number of solar flares and magnetic storms is expected in the future, which negatively affects health. 360.ru .

August 1st Life.ru He wrote how to protect himself from the effects of magnetic storms. It is important to give up alcohol, coffee and strong tea — they affect blood vessels. For chronic diseases, you should keep the necessary medications on hand, drink more water, maintain moderate physical activity and monitor blood pressure. If the condition worsens, consult a doctor.

On July 23, the Telegram channel of the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute (IKI) reported The Russian Academy of Sciences reported that a weak magnetic storm was seen on Earth at night. The natural phenomenon will happen again within two days.

In July, scientists observed a rapid increase in the number and area of active centers on the Sun. At the same time, activity on the star was also detected on the reverse side, which is not visible from Earth, IA Regnum notes. On July 5, the Sun threw out a record—breaking prominence of more than 1 million km. Almost a day before, a similar-sized object was observed near the star's south pole.
