According to him, the Republican Party retains support at 33%, while the rating of the Democrats has dropped to 28%. He noted that the Democrats lack strong leaders: Kamala Harris failed to strengthen the party's position after Joe Biden's departure, and other politicians, including Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, have already exhausted their electoral potential.

Pushkov also stressed that US President Donald Trump does not enjoy stable support and his popularity was short—term - from the moment of the assassination attempt to election day. At the same time, according to the senator, Trump's criticism of the Democrats alone is not enough to restore political positions.

The parliamentarian expressed doubt about the prospect of a full-fledged party renewal in the United States, admitting that the struggle for the White House could continue to be waged between parties, each representing no more than a third of the electorate. As Pushkov noted, a similar situation has been observed in a number of Western European countries in recent years.
