One person was killed and seven injured in a burst tire accident in Yakutia.

In Yakutia, two passenger cars collided on the Vilyuysky highway. A female passenger in one of the foreign cars was killed, and seven other people, including three children, were injured.

According to YakutiaMedia news agency, the driver of the Toyota Gaia lost control due to the fact that the car's tire burst. The foreign car drove into oncoming traffic and crashed into a Toyota Premio. The 28-year-old passenger of the second car died at the scene. Seven victims were taken to the hospital.

The condition of the two children is assessed as moderate. A one-year-old baby was hospitalized in the intensive care unit in extremely serious condition.

The Prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation into the incident.

Over the weekend of August 2-3, 703 road accidents occurred on the roads of Russia, in which 75 people were killed and 939 injured.
