Kuskovo, one of Moscow's oldest noble estates, is celebrating its 310th anniversary today, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on his Telegram channel. As part of the program for the preservation of historical heritage, comprehensive restoration work is currently underway in the estate, the mayor of the capital said.

"The regular park, the facades of the Palace, the Dutch and Italian houses, the Grotto pavilion, the Obelisk, the columns with the statue of Minerva have already been renovated," Sergei Sobyanin said.

The Sheremetyevo Summer Residence, Kuskovo has been operating as a museum since 1919. Nowadays, numerous cultural events take place here, including exhibitions, city events and festivals, including the Estates of Moscow. The annual number of visitors to the popular museum site reaches 1 million people.

In honor of the anniversary of the Kuskovo estate on August 9, several festive events will be held there at once. These include a lecture on lost architectural monuments and rare preserved objects, a free tour of the territory and an exhibition of rare photographs of the estate taken in 1883, immediately after the first restoration.
