American rapper Soulja Boy arrested for illegal possession of weapons
American rapper Deandre Cortez Way, known under the pseudonym Soulja Boy, has been arrested in Los Angeles in a case of illegal possession of firearms. This was reported on August 4 by the NBC television channel, referring to the data of law enforcement officers.
It is noted that the musician was arrested on Sunday morning, August 3. The police stopped the car in which he was traveling at the intersection of Melrose and Genesee Avenues.
"The passenger was arrested, and Deandre Cortez Way was arrested by police for possession of firearms," the police said.
As the media reminds, at the beginning of this year, the performer was already found guilty in the case of sexual harassment and violence against a former assistant.
On January 19, a court in Iran sentenced rapper Tataloo (Amir Hossein Magsudlu) to death for blasphemy. As The Guardian newspaper noted, thus, the Supreme Court of Iran satisfied the prosecutor's demand for tougher punishment for the musician, who had already been sentenced to five years in prison.
