In Kurilsk (Sakhalin region), a 55-year-old woman suffered from the actions of false brokers. She lost more than 4.3 million rubles.

According to the victim, she registered on the website of a company offering high income on the precious metals exchange. Soon, the woman was contacted by a man who introduced himself as an employee of a brokerage company. He convinced a resident of Kurilsk that she was guaranteed a high profit from financial transactions.

According to SakhalinMedia news agency, from June 30 to July 25, the woman made many online transfers to third-party accounts. The victim used both personal savings and funds taken from friends. A criminal case has been opened on this fact.

In St. Petersburg, scammers deceived a 72-year-old pensioner. The woman believed that she was communicating with representatives of the military prosecutor's office, and agreed to transfer 2.3 million rubles to the courier for "declaration."
