Sales of the flagship Dongfeng crossover have begun in Russia.

The Chinese brand Dongfeng has started independent car sales in Russia. Its first model was the flagship crossover Huge.

The novelty measures 4720 × 1910× 1702 mm with a wheelbase of 2825 mm and belongs to mid-size crossovers. Huge is built on a type of modular SMP platform from the Stellantis concern. Under the hood is a 1.5—liter turbo engine (197 hp and 305 Nm) paired with a 7-speed "robot", front-wheel drive only.

Within a month, the Huge will appear at official Dongfeng dealers in two trim levels at a price starting from 2.99 million rubles. The crossover's basic equipment includes a simple air conditioner combined with a panoramic roof, remote start, heated seats, steering wheel and windshield washer nozzles.

In the maximum configuration (3.14 million rubles), the car is equipped with climate control and an electric tailgate. The passenger seat has an electric adjustment and a pull-out ottoman. The crossover is available in three metallic colors: white, navy blue and black.

It is emphasized that the multimedia system is Russified and allows you to turn on all the heating functions with one touch. The body elements have undergone anti-corrosion treatment and additional cataphoretic galvanizing.

With the launch of the Huge model, Dongfeng Motor Concern resumed direct distribution management in Russia. The distributor and importer of the new models is the parent company Dongfeng Motor Rus.

Individual brands may leave the Russian market before the end of the year.

Earlier, Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, said that more than 2 million Chinese-made cars had been sold in Russia since the beginning of the special military operation. From March 2022 to May 2025, 1.8 million Chinese passenger cars, 200,000 trucks and just under 7,000 light commercial vehicles (LCVs) were registered in Russia.

Among Chinese brands in the passenger segment, the top five in terms of volume since March 2022 include Haval (385.2 thousand units), Chery (355.9 thousand units), Geely (295.2 thousand units), Changan (179.5 thousand units) and Omoda (104.1 thousand units).
