Ex-official of the Ministry of Defense Pastukhov was convicted in a case of abuse of power

Sergei Pastukhov, the former deputy head of the Department for the Redistribution of property between public legal entities of the Property Relations Department of the Russian Ministry of Defense, was sentenced to four years in a penal colony for abuse of office. This was announced on August 4 in the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation in the Telegram channel.

According to the investigation, in the period from 2018 to 2019, Pastukhov, using forged documents, transferred state property in the form of a land plot in the Leningrad Region, which was owned by other persons. The total damage to the Ministry of Defense amounted to more than 80 million rubles.

It is noted that the defendant is charged under Part 3 of Article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abuse of official authority"). He will serve his term in a general regime colony. He was also banned from holding positions in public authorities for two years.
