Petersburgers paid 2.3 million rubles for drinking alcohol on the streets
In St. Petersburg, more than 2.3 million rubles were recovered from 4.5 thousand people who were punished for drinking alcohol in public places. This was announced on Monday, August 4, according to the city FSSP.
In total, in 2025, according to Article 20.20 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation "Drinking alcoholic beverages in prohibited places," law enforcement officers initiated 8.4 thousand enforcement proceedings. The amount of the fine ranges from 500 to 1.5 thousand rubles.
Another 404 Petersburgers were charged under Article 20.21 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation "Appearance in public places in a state of intoxication." Bailiffs recovered more than 215 thousand rubles from such violators.
As noted by 78.ru Most often, these articles of the administrative code are violated by residents of Primorsky, Frunzensky and Kirovsky districts.
Earlier, Izvestia wrote that interest in homemade moonshine is growing rapidly in Russia. According to experts, there are already more than 2.5 million moonshine distillers in the country, and demand for them increased by almost a third (37%) at the beginning of 2025.
