- Experts evaluated the technology of modular hotel construction using aluminum solutions
A large hotel complex has been built in the Altai Territory using modular construction technology using aluminum solutions. This was stated by the chairman of the Aluminum Association Irina Kazovskaya.
The facility called "SrediGor" was built in less than a year. The total area of the complex is 5.8 thousand meters, it includes 152 rooms and two "This is a vivid example of how these solutions make it possible to quickly create a full-fledged hospitality infrastructure, and they have practically no alternative for the development of ecotourism and tourism in protected natural areas," Kazovskaya said.
The complex was built as part of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality". "Many regions of Russia have incredible tourism potential and at the same time are experiencing an acute shortage of accommodation facilities, modular technologies coupled with aluminum solutions can help keep up with the growing demand," the head of the association emphasized.
As Roman Selin, head of the Aluminum Association, explained, the technology's special feature is that 80% of the residential module is manufactured at the factory, and the building is assembled on site. The use of aluminum solutions (translucent structures, including windows, facades, doors, window sills) provides the modules with lightness, adaptability, and gives the building the aesthetic appearance of a high-class hotel facility, the expert added.
According to Selin, modular technologies make it possible to create full-fledged accommodation facilities, while their construction does not require heavy machinery and requires a minimum of workers. Due to the durability and anti-corrosion properties of aluminum, the service life of the complex can exceed 50 years. At the same time, the impact of technology on the environment both at the construction stage and at the operational stage is minimal — therefore, such buildings can be built on land funds, the expert said.
Kazovskaya emphasized the special importance of modular structures with aluminum solutions, given that many attractive recreational areas are classified as specially protected. "Ecotourism is one of the fastest growing segments of the global tourism market, with an average annual growth rate of 15.2% until 2030. The global trend is also typical for Russia, where the number of ecotourists has doubled since 2020 to about 12 million people, partly due to the general trend of outdoor recreation and the expansion of available rooms in the country's regions. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, speaking at an international environmental conference the other day, noted that ecotourism can become Russia's calling card and that it is necessary to form a hospitality infrastructure without disturbing the ecosystem," concluded the chairman of the Aluminum Association.
