One of the victims of the collision of a tour bus with a train in the Leningrad region was probably thrown out of the window at the time of the accident. He told Izvestia about this on August 4.

"It was early in the morning, I was asleep. I woke up already in the clearing, it turns out. Wondering how it happened, I realize that I just flew out the window," Ilya Osokin explained.

He noted that he came to his senses when operational services were already working at the scene.

"[In the first minutes I heard] screams, fuss, panic. The ambulance and traffic police were working, and the emergency service arrived. People stopped as much as they could, helped, gave water," the man shared.

The victim was hospitalized.

"I was taken to the hospital, had a CT scan, ultrasound, examined by a traumatologist, now I'm lying in the ward," Osokin said.

A tour bus collided with a train in the Leningrad Region earlier that day. As a result of the incident, one person was killed and 16 others were injured. Police officers later opened a criminal case under Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles").
