Activity on the Mutnovsky volcano was recorded in Kamchatka. This was announced on August 4 at the Kamchatka branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS).

"A thermal anomaly has been recorded on the Mutnovsky volcano according to satellite images. The volcano has been assigned a yellow danger code," the Telegram channel says.

It is specified that an accurate forecast of its eruptions is currently impossible due to the continuous flow of aftershocks from the focal zones of strong earthquakes. Scientists do not recommend visiting this volcano now.

The day before, 10 significant earthquakes were recorded in Kamchatka during the day.

Earlier, on August 3, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kamchatka Territory reported on the eruption of the Krasheninnikov volcano. It was noted that this is the first historical eruption of this volcano. The last outpouring of lava on the Krasheninnikov volcano occurred approximately 562 years ago.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
