The Barys Hockey Club of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) has appointed Mikhail Kravets as the team's head coach. This was announced on August 4 in the press service of the Kazakhstan club.

"The Barys Hockey Club officially announces the appointment of Mikhail Kravets as the head coach of the main team," the club's website says.

It is noted that the agreement is valid until May 31, 2026, and the contract also provides for the possibility of an extension for one season.

In the 2024/25 season, the 61-year-old coach led the Beijing Kunlun Red Star club. He also previously headed Vityaz, Avangard, Amur and other clubs. Kravets played 379 games as head coach in the KHL.

On August 2, the KHL Sochi announced the appointment of 75-year-old Vladimir Krikunov as the team's head coach. Dmitry Mikhailov has become Sochi's senior coach, and Andrey Mironov, Evgeny Shaldybin and Anton Bukhanko will serve as assistant coaches.
