Oleg Zubkov, director of the Crimean safari park Taigan, announced on August 4 that the lion that attacked him could be sent to another zoo for breeding.

"If the opportunity turns up, the lion can be sent to another zoo for breeding. Time will tell," Zubkov told RIA Novosti.

He added that currently the animal will not be released into the open part of the zoo (the savannah). In addition, according to the director of "Taigan", he forgave the predator for the attack. Zubkov also noted that lev was not to blame for anything, because according to the laws of nature, he did everything right.

Lev attacked Zubkov on June 22. The animal inflicted multiple wounds on the man. The victim underwent surgery, and his condition was stabilized. As noted by Tatiana Aleksagina, head of the Taigan press service, the lion attacked Zubkov because he attracted the animal's attention by the sharp sound of the door closing.

Zubkov returned to work on July 5. He later revealed the details of the incident. According to Zubkov, he violated the allowed distance between himself and the lion before the predator attacked.
