The railway told about the causes of a bus accident in the Leningrad region
The departure of a tour bus on the way in front of an approaching train caused an accident at a crossing in the Leningrad region. This was announced on August 4 by the press service of the Oktyabrskaya Railway.
"The train driver applied emergency braking, but the distance was insufficient, and a collision could not be avoided," the organization's Telegram channel says.
According to preliminary data, 12 people were injured, one of them died. As a result of this incident, no rolling stock derailment was observed.
Earlier that day, a source from Izvestia reported that an accident with a tour bus had occurred in the Leningrad Region. He specified that there were 37 tourists on the bus, the transport followed the Kem — Yaroslavl route.
