The number of victims of the shipwreck carrying migrants off the coast of Yemen has increased to 54 people. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on August 3.
"At least 54 migrants died when a boat sank off the coast of Yemen on Sunday due to bad weather," the publication says.
It was clarified that there were about 150 African migrants on board.
The shipwreck occurred earlier in the day off the coast of Yemen's Abyan province in the Arabian Sea. It is specified that there were migrants from Ethiopia on board, but the end point of the route is unknown.
