The practical part of the Russian-Chinese naval exercises began in the Sea of Japan.

The practical part of the Russian-Chinese exercises "Maritime Cooperation-2025" has started in the Sea of Japan. This was announced on August 3 in the press service of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) of Russia.

"Ships and vessels of the Russian Navy and the Naval Forces of the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA) entered the Sea of Japan from Vladivostok to conduct the practical part of the joint Russian-Chinese exercise Maritime Interaction 2025," TASS quoted the agency as saying.

As noted by "Gazeta.Ru", the ships of Russia and China will work out joint measures for detection and rescue at sea, anti-submarine tasks and air defense, and conduct artillery firing at one of the naval combat training grounds of the Pacific Fleet.

It is emphasized that the maneuvers are not directed against other countries and are defensive in nature.

On July 26, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian Navy conducted operational exercises "July Storm" in the Barents Sea. The ship's search and strike group of the Northern Fleet practiced destroying a submarine of a simulated enemy, and naval aviation pilots practiced striking ground targets.
