A man drowned in a pond in the village of Maly Zhaigil in the Seltinsky district of Udmurtia. This was announced on August 3 by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"According to the comrades, one of them went swimming, dived and did not appear on the surface," the Telegram channel says.

It is specified that subsequently local residents took out the body of the deceased from the water.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations urged Russians not to swim in unfamiliar places and not to enter the water in a drunken state.

There could have been more victims, but 310 vacationers were rescued by the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Earlier, on July 29, two teenagers drowned in the Don River in the Rostov region, and a third minor was rescued. It was clarified that the incident occurred in the area of Levoberezhny beach.
