As a result of an accident in the Tomsk region, one person was killed and four others were injured. This was reported on August 3 in the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.

"At the intersection of Stroiteley and Ermakov streets in Strezheva, two vehicles collided: a Toyota Corolla and a Lada Priora," the department said in a statement on its Telegram channel.

According to available information, the driver of a Toyota car, moving along Ermakova Street, ignored the forbidding traffic light signal at the exit to the intersection and tried to turn left. At that moment, a Lada car drove into the intersection in the opposite direction, also running a red light, which led to a collision.

It is specified that the passenger of the domestic car died on the spot, both drivers and two other passengers of the LADA car were taken to the hospital. Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are conducting an investigation into the incident.
