Excessive light reflecting off urban buildings and roads overloads the eyes and causes discomfort, so the eyes need protection. On August 3, Khadizhat Suleymanova, a specialist at the Vision ophthalmological center, told about this.

"In summer, a large amount of reflected light forms on streets with a predominance of glass facades and light surfaces. The light gets into the eyes from different angles, causing tension, burning and a feeling of sand," the doctor said "Газете.Ru ".

The increased brightness from reflected light causes the eyes to constantly adjust. This puts strain on the eye muscles and accelerates fatigue. Particularly sensitive people develop redness, dryness, and photophobia.

"Those who work outdoors or near glass windows are especially at risk. Prolonged exposure to light can lead to chronic overexertion of the eye muscles and decreased visual acuity," Suleymanova added.

To protect your eyes, the doctor recommends wearing sunglasses that block ultraviolet light and remove glare. Hats with a visor will also help. If a person works outside or near a window, they need to take regular breaks and use moisturizing drops.

"If there is a burning sensation, fatigue or photophobia, it is important to use moisturizing drops and relax in a darkened room. If symptoms worsen, you should consult an ophthalmologist," the expert summed up.

On July 31, 3Z ophthalmologist Anna Solovey talked about how to protect your eyesight from excessive stress in the summer. She clarified that dry air and computer work exacerbate the symptoms of eye fatigue.
