Two people were killed and one injured in an accident in the Novgorod region.
In the Novgorod region, in the village of Gorny Moriny, a car drove into a group of cyclists, killing two people and injuring another. This was announced on August 2 in the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.
"The car accident occurred on the first kilometer of the Veliky Novgorod–Sergovo–Borki –Gorny Moriny–Beregovye Moriny highway at 20:55," the department's Telegram channel says.
According to updated information, the 26-year-old Volkswagen Tuareg driver, while intoxicated, hit two cyclists. A 60-year-old man and a nine-year-old girl were killed. A two-year-old girl was admitted to the regional children's hospital.
Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation are conducting an investigation into the incident.
On August 2, the Cheboksary Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that three people were injured in an accident due to the fact that the driver crashed his car into a building in the city center. It is noted that the driver and his passengers, aged eight and 43, were injured.
