Russian swimmers set a European record at the World Aquatics Championships

On August 2, Russian swimmers set a European record and won a silver medal at the World Aquatics Championships in the 4x100 m freestyle mixed relay.

It is noted that the Russian athletes performed with a result of 3 minutes 19.68 seconds. The Russian team consisted of Egor Kornev, Ivan Girev, Daria Trofimova and Daria Klepikova.

The first place with a world record was taken by swimmers from the USA, showing a result of 3 minutes 18.48 seconds. The French swimmers finished third (3 minutes 21.35 seconds).

This is the fourth medal of the Russian swimmers at the tournament in Singapore, adds Sport-Express.

The day before, Russian swimmer Evgenia Chikunova became the silver medalist of the World Aquatics Championships in the 200 m breaststroke. It is noted that the Russian overcame the distance in 2 minutes 19.96 seconds. The gold medal was won by American swimmer Kate Douglas with a score of 2 minutes 18.5 seconds.
