Opponents of arms supplies to Kiev staged a demonstration in Berlin

About a thousand demonstrators advocating for peace in Ukraine and against the arming of Kiev gathered in the center of Berlin. This was reported on August 2 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

"The protesters at the Brandenburg Gate stand for peace in Ukraine and the Middle East, for diplomacy and against the supply of weapons," the correspondent said.

It is noted that the demonstrators criticize the actions of the current and previous governments of Germany. The protesters are holding placards with the words: "A world without weapons!", "Those who want peace, do not sell weapons!".

Not all US allies agree to buy weapons from Washington

On July 14, US President Donald Trump announced that the United States and the European Union had reached an agreement on the supply of weapons to Ukraine. According to him, the United States will produce weapons for Kiev, and European countries will pay for them.

On August 1, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced that his country intends to deliver two Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine. According to him, this decision was made after coordination with the United States.
