Experts told about the restoration of electricity supply in the Kursk region
The power engineers of Rosseti Center and Kurskenergo told Izvestia about the restoration of electricity supply in the areas affected by the fighting in the region. Since August 6, 2024, electricity has been restored in 1,802 settlements.
As a rule, Izvestia correspondent Tatiana Simonenkova noted, power engineers restore power transmission lines and transformer substations. Usually, specialists come for one request, and perform several at once, because they want to restore electricity supply in the affected areas as soon as possible.
According to Andrey Griva, the master of the Bolshesoldatsky district of electric grids (RES), specialists are trying to work out as much as possible, since all residents "want to return [back], the sooner the better."
"All the benefits of civilization are powered by electricity. If there is no electricity, then life will come to a standstill, anyway. <...> There must be electricity in the border area, it must be maintained. People will understand that no one has abandoned them. As long as life is warm, we hope that we will return and everything will be fine," says Alexander Kazakov, an electrician with combined driver duties, an employee of the operational field brigade of the Rylsky distribution zone.
Local resident Valentina noted that electricity is vital, especially for storing food in the refrigerator. And Lyudmila, a resident, confirms that specialists promptly respond to emergencies and restore power supply in a short time.
On July 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to develop a program for the restoration of territories affected by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). It is proposed to pay special attention to the organization of interaction with the heads of the affected municipalities, as well as volunteer and other public organizations.
