A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Thus, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the units of the Southern Group of Forces, thanks to decisive actions, liberated the settlement of Alexandro-Kalinovo of the DPR. In the group's area of responsibility, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) amounted to 150 soldiers, three artillery pieces, three armored fighting vehicles, including an American M113 armored personnel carrier, three artillery pieces, a pickup truck and an electronic warfare station.

In addition, missile forces, attack drones, tactical aviation and artillery hit drone storage points and temporary deployment points of the Ukrainian military and foreign mercenaries in 132 districts.

Air defense systems destroyed 338 aircraft-type drones and a guided aerial bomb during the day.

The Russian President also spoke about the production of "Oreshnik" and revealed the details of the liberation of the city of Chasov Yar.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 664 aircraft, 1,584 multiple rocket launcher combat vehicles, 283 helicopters, 24,418 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 28,103 field artillery and mortars, 624 anti-aircraft missile systems, 74,186 unmanned aerial vehicles and 39,015 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
