There were 15 solar flares per day.
During the day, 15 solar flares were recorded. This was announced on August 2 by the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the Institute of Space Research and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
"GOES X—ray monitors registered 15 solar flares yesterday, August 1, compared with six events a day earlier," the laboratory's website says.
It is noted that at the moment, the outbreak activity "shows signs of stabilization." In addition, it is assumed that the growth of sunspots has stopped.
"Thus, the surge was limited in nature and turned out to be localized within one day. The series of events had no impact on the Earth," the laboratory added.
On July 12, a rapid increase in solar flare activity was recorded. As reported, the current increase in activity has not created any direct threats to Earth at the moment.
