Two people died in an accident in the Rostov region.

Two people were killed in a collision between two cars in the Rostov region. This was announced on August 1 by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

"At 18:50 (coincides with Moscow time. On the Kotelnikovo – Peschanokopskoye highway, according to preliminary data, the driver of the VAZ-2109 car lost control and drove into oncoming traffic, where a collision with a Volkswagen Passat car occurred," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

It is specified that as a result of the incident, the driver and passenger of the VAZ-2109 car died on the spot, the passenger of the second car was hospitalized with injuries. Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate, together with investigators from the Main Investigation Department (GSU) of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Rostov region, are working to establish all the circumstances of the accident.
