- Gazans pointed to the critical situation in the region due to the lack of humanitarian aid.
There is a shortage of humanitarian aid, which is being dropped from planes into the Gaza Strip, and only a few people manage to get food. On August 1, local residents told Izvestia about this.
Salem Abedelmoti noted that cargo flying from the sky sometimes lands directly on tents with civilians. Other parcels, he said, end up on the territory of the army or remote areas that are difficult to reach.
"We pray to God that we get at least something. Is it possible to live like this? It's a cage, it's not life. We are suffering. <...> Open the crossings for us normally, let us live," another civilian, Mahmoud Abu Nada, urged.
Journalist Muhammad Mattar, commenting on the current situation in Gaza, in particular the supply of food from the air, stressed that this system, which some countries consider acceptable, actually creates inequality in this area. He stated that one truck would be more useful than ten flights of aviation.
On July 27, Mattar told Izvestia that the food crisis in Gaza is worsening — people have to queue at charity kitchens for food, which is not enough for everyone. The locals can't even bake bread because they don't have flour.
All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
