General practitioner Nadezhda Chernyshova told us by what signs it is possible to determine a poor-quality ignition for a campfire.

In conversation with aif.ru On Friday, August 1, the specialist noted that low-quality ignition liquid, which is often used in the preparation of barbecue, is easy to recognize by its appearance and characteristic smell.

The doctor explained that there are different types of ignition fluids, and those containing paraffin are the most preferred. It is also acceptable to use alcohol-containing products, however, according to her, such a liquid should be transparent, be in a transparent bottle and not contain sediment. When opening the container, the smell should not be sharp — if there is one, it is better to abandon the use of such a liquid, since it is most likely of poor quality.

Chernyshova also stressed that it is worth buying ignition only in reliable large stores, and not by hand or in roadside tents. She drew attention to the fact that the packaging should have a single label, which indicates the composition of the product.

In addition, the doctor reminded that high-quality ignition liquid, when used correctly, is not dangerous to humans and does not penetrate into meat.

On July 7, doctor Vyacheslav Evseev recommended taking a first-aid kit for burns on picnics. It should contain sterile bandages, anti-burn hydrogel bandages and hypothermic bags. 360.ru .

In June, legal consultant Alyona Yakovleva warned that an open fire in a cottage or in a private courtyard is allowed to be lit no closer than 15 m from buildings, and a barbecue can be placed at a distance of at least 5 m from buildings. For violating the rules of making a campfire on the site, you can get a fine from 5 to 15 thousand rubles, NSN notes. With a special fire protection regime, the amount can grow up to 60 thousand rubles, writes IA Regnum.

In May, gastroenterologist Elena Pavlova warned that the ignition liquid used in cooking shish kebab could pose a health threat. She explained that gorenje produces polyaromatic hydrocarbons, which can provoke the development of cancer, reports RT.
