In Moscow, two children were hospitalized after a fire in one of the apartments on the ninth floor of a residential building on Leninsky Prospekt. One child is in serious condition. This was announced on August 1 by the city Health Department in its Telegram channel.
"Two children, aged 3 and 7, were rescued from a smoke—filled apartment. <...> They were hospitalized in the Morozovskaya hospital. Doctors assess the condition of one child as severe, while the second is of moderate severity," the ministry said.
According to preliminary data, the children were the only victims. The Moscow Department of Health added that they are receiving all the necessary medical care.
Medics, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other emergency services of the city are working on the spot.
On August 1, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that one person was killed in a fire in an administrative building in western Moscow. It was clarified that the fire, which covered an area of 300 square meters, was recorded on Vereiskaya Street, and 58 specialists and 16 pieces of equipment were involved in its elimination.
