The best-selling cars in Chechnya and Dagestan are named
In the Republic of Dagestan, Lada Vesta became the most popular new car in the first half of 2025, with a circulation of 2,109 units and a market share of 35.9%. At the same time, in the Chechen Republic, the Toyota Camry turned out to be the bestseller of the market with a result of 616 cars sold and a share of 20.7%. On August 1, Sergey Tselikov, director of Autostat, shared such statistics in his Telegram channel.
In most regions of Russia, Lada Granta is the leader of the car market this year, but there are exceptions besides Chechnya and Dagestan. According to the analyst, the best-selling new car in the Kaliningrad region was the Kaiyi X3 Pro (183 units; 5.7%). On Sakhalin — UAZ Patriot (27 units; 6.5%). At the same time, in the Novosibirsk and Irkutsk regions, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max was most often bought new at car dealerships (547 units and 210 units, respectively).
In Moscow, the Geely Monjaro crossover is the leader (2,736 units; 4.1%). Such a small share is explained by how highly fragmented the market is, Tselikov pointed out. In total, more than 650 different models of new passenger cars have been registered in Moscow this year. In St. Petersburg, Haval Jolion holds the first place (633 units; 5.2% of the market).
Earlier that day, it became known that Russians began to make a large down payment more often when buying a car on credit: in the first half of 2025, the share of car loans with a contribution of more than 50% increased from 27% to 37%.
The day before, it was reported that in July 2025, nine car brands changed the prices of cars in Russia. If there were seven such stamps in the first half of the month, then there were only two in the second half.
