"I have declared a state of emergency. A warning about the danger of travel and the risk of flooding will be in effect until 8 a.m. (15:00 Moscow time. If possible, do not go outside. Do not use private transport. Roads are flooding, emergency services are working," the mayor wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

According to the Reuters news agency, air traffic in the northeastern United States was disrupted due to the storm. It is reported that at least 1,170 flights were canceled at eight airports, and hundreds more flights were delayed.
