A truck collided with a passenger train at a crossing in the Arkhangelsk region
In the Arkhangelsk region, a truck collided with a passenger train at a railway crossing. This was announced on August 1 in the press service of the North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office in the Telegram channel.
It was previously established that the truck driver drove to the crossing at a forbidding signal before the approach of passenger train No. 372, following the Arkhangelsk – Kotlas route.
According to the agency, the driver applied emergency braking, but the vehicles collided anyway. At the same time, the train delay was 18 minutes. No injuries were reported.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway to clarify the circumstances of the incident, as well as to verify measures to comply with legislation on safety in the operation of railway transport.
Earlier that day, a freight train derailed in the Chelyabinsk region. There were no casualties in the incident. After the incident, an inspection is carried out under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of railway transport, resulting in major damage").
