Vladimir Annenkov, Moscow Center of the Russian Geographical Society; Tatiana Novopashina, PR Director of Dorozhny Radio; and Sergey Grevtsev, Head of the Mir TV and Radio Broadcasting Company Promotion Service.

The XIV Interregional Creative Festival of Slavic Art "Russian Field" will be held on August 9 in Victory Park on Poklonnaya Gora. This year's festival is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the Year of Defender of the Fatherland. Traditionally, the festival gathers thousands of guests and hundreds of participants from different regions of Russia and abroad. This year, a record number of applications were received for the competition and the cultural program — more than 600. The final program included over 1,500 participants from 62 regions of the country. Visitors will find 12 themed venues dedicated to folk culture, crafts, history, poetry, gastronomy, fashion, music and family leisure.

"The Russian Field Festival is not just a cultural event, it is a powerful symbol of the unity and continuity of the traditions of our people. For Moscow, as the capital of a multinational country, this festival is especially important — it unites residents and guests of the city around common values, historical memory and national identity," said Vitaly Suchkov, head of the capital's Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations. — On the anniversary of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the Year of Defender of the Fatherland, the "Russian Field" takes on special significance, because it is through art and culture that we keep in touch with the feat of our ancestors, nurture pride for the Motherland and patriotism in the younger generation. It is a platform where everyone can touch Russian culture, feel its power and beauty, and contribute to strengthening the spiritual and cultural potential of the whole country."

This year's program of the Russian Field Festival reflects such topics as the preservation of cultural heritage and the memory of the heroic deeds of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War, the popularization of folk art and the support of regional creative teams and craftsmen.

The spiritual and educational center of the festival will be Slavyanskaya Sloboda, a site near the Church of St. George the Victorious, dedicated to the Christian heritage of Russia, the connection of faith, history and heroism. The opening ceremony will begin at 10:30 with a prayer service. During the day, there will be open lectures, discussions and meetings with representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church, as well as screenings of feature films, documentaries and cartoons. The topics of discussion will include the 1135th anniversary of the birth of the Holy Princess Olga, the history of the Orthodox mission in Russia, the role of the Church in the Great Patriotic War, the Orthodox understanding of military service and the spiritual significance of the Cossacks.

One of the most spectacular venues of the festival will be the "Field of Glory". During the day, interactive screenings will be held here with the participation of military historical reenactors in uniforms and equipment from the Great Patriotic War. Visitors will see artillery and machine-gun crews in action, the work of the field hospital and the rear, as well as get acquainted with samples of small arms and uniforms of the Red Army. There will be an exhibition of mock-ups of military equipment and a competition to create authentic images of Red Army soldiers, including the navy, infantry, people's militia and women's images of the 1940s. There will be theatrical contests in the spirit of front-line propaganda brigades. All activities are accompanied by comments, and guests will have the opportunity to ask questions and take photos with the participants.

This year, a new venue will appear on the festival map — the "Courtyard of Discoveries". This is an interactive educational zone dedicated to Russian geographical expeditions and outstanding researchers and dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the First Kamchatka Expedition. The platform will bring together the descendants of the participants of the great discoveries, historians, teachers and representatives of the Russian Geographical Society. The Art Quarter site will also make its debut. Events will be held here as part of the international campaign "Memory of the Heart". A rich program is also planned at the Fashion Row site. During the day, participants will showcase collections in five thematic blocks — from ethnographic and modern designer costumes to fashion theater, and cultural codes in design. The jury and the audience will appreciate the quality of the performance, originality and authenticity of the products.

The main stage of the festival, the Musical Square, will open with a broadcast of a prayer service and a solemn greeting. The best bands from different regions of the country will perform on the stage, as well as award ceremonies. The presenters — People's Artist of Russia Artyom Kaminsky and singer and TV presenter Alla Omelyuta — will set the mood for the whole day. In the evening, the audience will enjoy a gala concert with the participation of such star guests as Oleg Gazmanov, Tatiana Kurtukova, Filatov & Karas, Askar Abdrazakov, Mia Boyka, ST, Varvara, Alexander Dobronravov, Aglaya Shilovskaya, Dmitry Koldun, Alexandra Vorobyova, Denis Klyaver and many others. Special attention is paid to the theme of the Year of Defender of the Fatherland and the 80th anniversary of Victory - the choral group of the Alexandrov Red Banner Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army will perform at the gala concert with a Large Russian Choir. On the small stage — "Musical Zavalinka" — performances of folklore groups, instrumental music and dance numbers from both famous performers and young talents will take place.
