La Strada cycling race will bring together more than 6,500 people in Moscow

On August 10, Moscow will host the traditional La Strada cycling race from the League of Heroes, which will bring together 6,500 athletes.

One of the key features of this year's launch is the large–scale La Strada FESTIVAL. This is a free ride for all cycling enthusiasts, this type of leisure is suitable for the whole family, because children from 6 years old and accompanied by adults are allowed to participate. More than 5,000 people are expected at this launch, and the route will take place in the midst of the most beautiful sights of the capital's center. The race starts on the Rowing Canal at 10:00 a.m. and finishes on the Novodevichy Embankment. The total route is about 17 km.

The media championship will be held in a separate cluster – a separate cluster will be prepared for representatives of the mass media. More than 30 journalists from leading Russian publications will take part in the launch. The participants will cover a 17-kilometer distance and compete in the individual competition.

The highlight of the cycling part of the sports festival will be the La Strada cycling race, a vibrant and dynamic race for cycling enthusiasts over a distance of 50 km. The participants will compete in four clusters, the choice of which depends on the average speed of the athletes. It is expected that more than 1,500 participants will take part in the bike race. The race starts at 17:45 in Luzhniki, and finishes there at 19:30.

There will also be a corporate check–in on this day, where teams of colleagues from the same company will be able to participate. A team can consist of at least three participants and can be mixed by gender. The team rating will be formed from two indicators: the personal place of each participant in the overall ranking of the cluster and the number of participants in the team. That is, the bigger the team, the more likely it is to win.
