A new class of airspace for drone flights has been established in Russia. This was announced on August 1 on the website of the Government of the Russian Federation. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

"Russia has a new class of airspace, H (H), designed for flights of unmanned aircraft," the statement said.

Class H is installed in the airspace from 0 to 150 m from the earth's surface, as well as on routes designated for drone flights at an altitude of no more than 3050 m. Data on the routes for drone flights and the conditions of their use will be published by the Federal Air Transport Agency.

It is noted that the initiative will create conditions for the development of civilian unmanned aviation, as well as ensure flight safety in the country.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Saveliev announced on July 6 that Russia would have a separate Class H airspace for UAVs. He also noted that the production of civilian drones in the Russian Federation has increased by more than 2.5 times over the past year compared to 2023.
