Cambodia to cancel duties on goods from the United States
Cambodia will reset tariffs on American goods and plans to purchase up to 20 Boeing 737 Max aircraft. This was announced on August 1 by the country's Deputy Prime Minister San Chantol.
"To improve the trade imbalance, they (the United States — Ed.) suggested that we consider tariff barriers, non—tariff barriers, as well as any goods that we can purchase in the United States. <...> We have reset our tariffs," Chantol said in an interview with Bloomberg.
He also said that the national carrier Air Cambodia Co. He is negotiating the acquisition of 10 airliners with an option for another 10, while the value of the transaction and delivery dates have not yet been disclosed.
