Over the past 24 hours, 120 aftershocks have been recorded in Kamchatka after the earthquake. This was reported on August 1 in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the Kamchatka Territory.
"120 aftershocks of magnitude from 3.5 to 6.7 occurred during the day," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.
It is noted that in populated areas, the strength of some of the aftershocks was felt in the range of 2.0 to 5.0 points. The ministry also drew attention to volcanic activity in the region — locals and tourists were advised not to approach them.
