Specialists of the logistics support units (MTO) of the Center group of forces celebrated their professional holiday, the 325th anniversary of the Day of the Rear of the Russian Federation, in the area of a special military operation. This was announced on August 1 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Military personnel of the MTO, along with combat units, perform their assigned tasks on a daily basis and provide the advanced units with everything they need.

"Today is the holiday of the Rear of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. As usual, we prepared bread baking for the personnel, and also organized the baking of pies, sweet rolls, garlic buns, which will be sent to the soldiers on the line of contact. When fresh, warm bread arrives, of course, the soldiers are happy, and the process itself is enjoyable," said Alexei Pan, a baker with the motorized rifle regiment.

The ministry noted the importance of delivering food and water to firing positions for Russian attack aircraft, and also stressed that in those areas where food cannot be transported by trucks due to the high intensity of the enemy's use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), food is delivered by buggy, motorcycles or by air using unmanned aircraft.

Andrei Ashcheulov, commander of the material support battalion, noted that the MTO specialists are also building bath and laundry complexes designed for personnel, washing and repairing personal belongings. In addition, he stated that there are warehouses in the rear where the distribution of personal belongings is carried out.

"The warehouse stores uniforms for military personnel, both summer and winter, as well as supplies," added Alexander Uzhurmov, head of the clothing department of the material support department.

On July 15, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that two shrines of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) — the Main Icon of the Navy of St. Andrew the First-Called and the relics of the Holy Righteous Warrior Theodore Ushakov - were delivered to the Stavropol St. Nicholas Naval Cathedral, which is located in Kronstadt. The transportation was carried out specifically for the celebration of Navy Day.
