- WP has learned about the disappearance of exhibits objectionable to the White House from the Museum of U.S. History
A plaque with information about the impeachment of US President Donald Trump has disappeared from the National Museum of American History under pressure from the White House. This was reported by the Washington Post (WP) on July 31, citing a source.
"The change occurred as part of an audit that the Smithsonian Institution agreed to conduct after pressure from the White House," a person familiar with the situation, who wished to remain anonymous, is quoted as saying.
He clarified that he was "not authorized" to discuss upcoming changes in the exhibition plans, however, the material clarified that the Smithsonian Institution, commenting on this situation, stated that the updated exposition would again "include all impeachments."
On July 19, Trump instructed the US Department of Justice to release all the testimony of the grand jury in the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of trafficking minors and their sexual exploitation. He noted that these materials are necessary in order to satisfy the demand of "radical and leftist madmen" who want to see these documents.
