The Russian Armed Forces hit three artillery positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the special operation

Soldiers of the 2nd separate artillery Brigade of the Southern Group of Forces hit three artillery positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced on August 1 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The ministry said that the targets were identified with the help of intelligence and destroyed using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) "Lancet". Thus, an enemy howitzer model D-30 with calculation and a self-propelled artillery installation were eliminated, which deprived the enemy of fire support and allowed the assault units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to move forward.

In addition, it was clarified that the calculation of the UAV of the 7th separate motorized rifle brigade in the area of the village of Dronovka also found a 155-mm M777 howitzer made in the USA. The forces of the brigade's artillery unit struck the AFU position, during which both the howitzer itself and its ammunition, along with the personnel of the calculation, were destroyed.

On July 31, the Ministry of Defense reported that the calculation of the Msta-B howitzer of the 42nd division of the Dnepr group of forces eliminated an enemy stationary electronic warfare (EW) complex in the Zaporozhye region. According to the commander of the gun with the call sign Beast, the target was detected by the operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
