- Putin signed a law on the payment of two pensions to the participants of the SVO and the volunteers of Donbass
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law that entitles participants in a special military operation (SVO) to two pensions, as well as volunteers and militia members of Donbass who became disabled while participating in a special military operation (SVO). The relevant document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information on July 31.
Thus, the document refers to citizens who have signed a contract with organizations providing assistance to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and who were disabled while participating in a special operation. These people are entitled either to a disability pension and an old-age insurance pension, or to a disability pension and a superannuation pension.
It also establishes the right of the legal successors of the deceased participants of the SVO to pay pension savings after the expiration of the established period without the need to restore it in court. For this, a document confirming death or participation in hostilities is required. In addition, the law provides for a survivor's pension for children with disabilities and those with disabilities from childhood, provided that the deceased parent received it under the law on pension provision for military personnel.
On July 31, Putin signed a law obliging him to make payments to the wounded, volunteers and family members of the deceased participants of his military operation within 30 days. According to the law, lump-sum payments must be made no later than one month after the date of the right to receive support. It also claims the possibility of granting benefits to the civilian wives of fallen SVO fighters if a number of conditions are met.
