The Investigative Committee began an investigation into the death of a tractor driver while harvesting hay near Omsk

In the Novovarshavsky district of the Omsk region, a tractor driver died while harvesting hay, his arm was pulled into a rotating shaft. An inspection has been organized, according to the regional SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The tragedy occurred on the evening of July 28 in the Novovarshavka work settlement. While harvesting hay, the 32-year-old tractor driver's hand was pulled into a rotating shaft. He died on the spot from his injury, OmskMedia news agency writes.

Upon the death of a local resident, the Investigative Committee began checking. Based on its results, a decision will be made to institute a criminal case.

In May, a court in the Tula region sentenced an excavator driver who caused the death of a worker on the farm. The engineer was asked to pour concrete into a pit dug under the foundation for the cowshed. One of the handymen went down into the pit, and a bucket of mortar collapsed on him. The man died on the spot.
